I've been a bit quiet in the blogging world over the summer, this is down to working quite a bit and also trying to restrain myself from buying any more products before I've used up the ones I've got (an impossible task let me tell you...) I've got quite a big haul here and the reason is that it's getting colder here in the UK and I'm finding that my 'summer' products, especially skincare products, just aren't nourishing my skin! So I thought I'd go ahead and try some new products in preparation for winter :)
Superdrug Naturally Radiant skincare range
Hot cloth cleansers are raved about in the blogging world, in particular the Liz Earle brand. With that one being out of my price range, I came across this Superdrug one and at only £2.99 it was a must have! Recently I've been slacking when it comes to removing my make up, which is a bad idea as I have problem skin as it is...... so this gentle approach I'm really looking forward to trying! I went and bought the night and day creams from the range too, so I'll do an update if anyone would be interested just leave a comment below :)
Essie Rock Solid base coat
my nails have been a nightmare recently, peeling and breaking... so I took advantage of the 3 for 2 offer in boots and got myself the Essie base coat and the collection 2000 essentials which I always go back to. The Lasting perfection powder in Fair, and the lasting perfection concealer in 2 Fair.
Laidbare pore mask
OHDEUXFOIS recommended this face mask as a great way to minimise pores and generally make your skin really really soft! She reviewed it and first of all commented on the smell... I completely agree, it's an amazing smell! The notes that come through the strongest are liquorice and its really a treat to use. I'll do an in depth review on this if you're wondering how I'm getting on with it, I've only used it once so far so can't really offer any real views in terms of the effects!
Dove products (their stuff always smells SO good!) & toothpaste!
I always seem to go back to this deoderant, smells insane and does the job! perfect! The dove leave in treatment for hair is a risky product for me.... I have fine hair, but due to dying, it's been quite brittle at the ends and generally looks a bit of a haystack so I'm looking forward to using this at night and hopefully (fingers crossed) it won't leave my hair greasy for days... I've stayed away from all the hair oils out at the moment because of the grease factor, but I thought I'd give this a try seeing as it was only £1.99!
Toothpaste is a slight obsession at the moment, my teeth are quite white anyway, but I want them to have that wow factor, so I've been intrigued by the colgate 1 week whitening one :) I'll let you know how I get on!
Quite a big haul for me.... although I did pick up some bargains along the way! I really think that the Superdrug range is a good deal, as I can end up spending a fortune on skincare (Philosophy etc) so it's nice to try cheaper alternatives! And from the reviews I've seen, the hot cloth cleanser is very comparable to the Liz Earle cleanse and polish!
Thanks for reading, I appreciate your comments and will reply to them asap :)

Today's Purchases :) mini haul post!
Did a bit of shopping today... and got a few pieces that I needed, and some that I've just heard lots of great things about!
Got these two bra's from New Look, they were on sale for £6 (pack of two) and they feel like they're going to be super comfy! Also under all the products I bought a simple navy top from Primark, to go with my Jubilee outfit for the weekend!
Got some false nails from Primark, they're red as it's Jubilee weekend coming up, and I have to dress up for work and also a night out that's planned for Sunday! And for only £1 it's a pretty good deal!
I was so impressed with my lip tint that I got from Primark that I got a different colour, this is more of a baby pink and looks perfect for the summer! £1.50.
I've been loving MUA Make up (available at Superdrug) as it's so cheap but quality! The bronzer is perfect for me, and teamed with my Primark blush brush, it goes on quite light so I can build it up without looking too orange! I have it in shade 1 and it was £1 (everything is on three for two at the moment in Superdrug too).
I got my hands on a Revlon Colour Burst Lip Butter - in 090 Sweet Tart. I've heard lots of good reviews, and my flatmate Jess has been using hers and can't recommend it enough. I tried all the colours and thought this was a really nice pretty pink for the summer, it's a little brighter than I'd normally go for, but I thought I'd have a change :) I've been trying it this afternoon and I'll do a review on that for you guys! £7.99 from Boots and Superdrug (and anywhere that sells Revlon products).
Bit of an impulse buy at the end of the shopping trip, Jess has been going on about getting one of these Real Techniques Dual Fibre Stippling Brushes for a while now, and she finally bought one today after hearing such good reviews. I too have been seeing various Beauty Bloggers and Youtube Guru's talking about them, and thought I'd give it a try! Excited to see if this one works out! I'll review it once I've tried it (which will be later today or tomorrow I think!) It was £11.99, which is quite a lot to pay on a student budget for a brush.... so I'm hoping it will deliver!!
Thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed my little haul, please leave a comment about any of the products featured below, and if you'd like me to review anything then I'd be happy to! :) Lucy xxxx

Getting in the Christmas Spirit!
If you're in the UK, your local B&M store is THE PLACE to get Christmas decorations on a budget! Really cheap fairy lights etc, and even Santa & Elf costumes! Oh and the funniest thing was a Father Christmas toilet seat cover.... haha! Everything ranges from £1 upwards!
I know this isn't anything beauty related, but I just had to share this with you guys! We've decorated the flat ready for Christmas, and we even have a little Christmas Tree in the kitchen! We've made the flat look really Christmassy! :)

Miss Selfridge & Primark spree :)
Deals of the week
I've been looking around for some nice winter pieces and I'm really loving the simple shorts & black tights combo. Everything item I bought in this little spree was £20 and under, always good to find a bargain! These pieces are really nice to make an outfit for the winter. Just team them with a plain top (tucked in or out) a patterned scarf and cardigan and you're ready to go! :)
- Burgundy High Waisted Shorts £10 Primark
- Green High Waisted shorts £9 SALE Miss Selfridge (was £32!!)
- Tweed Brogues £10 Primark
- Typical outfit: shorts with black tights, brogues and a plain top tucked in to the high waisted shorts. Finish with a patterned scarf and a cardigan (long or short)
- The polka dot shorts actually look like a skirt when on, which is quite nice. Something a bit different to the burgundy denim shorts on the left.
Firstly apologies for the crappy picture, but I just wanted to show the dress on (only pic I could find where I wasn't pulling a stupid pose...)
This dress caught my eye as the bright colours contrast each other but work really well I think. I originally thought I would wear the dress with bare legs, but came to the conclusion that to add to the block colour theme, the black tights looked best. I also wore black heels with this outfit. Overall really comfortable but still looks dressed up! Love this dress!
Dress £17 (£15.30 w/student discount) Miss Selfridge (was £32)
That's it for this post, just thought I'd share with you some of the bargains I've picked up this week! (well I think so..) The miss selfridge sale is still on, and I actually saw the dress again today so there's definitely still stock left if you wanted to grab a bargain!
Please do let me know if you've found any fashion bargains so I can check them out :) Lucy x

Fashion blog! Recent buys!
Fashion blog: my recent purchases!
I thought I'd share with you some of the clothes I've bought recently! (some really good bargains!)
I'm really liking all the paler neutral colours at the moment, such as beige and dark pink. After christmas I splashed out on some stuff from Topshop and managed to pull a nice outfit together! It was a bit pricey but hey, we have to treat ourselves sometimes! Here's the outfit:

PUTTY ROSE SHRUNKEN 3/4 SLEEVE BLAZER
I bought this blazer for £55 with a voucher I got for christmas. Quite pricey I know, but so cute! I really like it because you can dress it up or dress it down. Recently I went for drinks and a meal and it looked really good teamed with a peach ruffled top and black skinny jeans! I could also dress it down with brogues & skinny jeans for Uni!
TALL RED STRIPE TANK TOP
I wear this under my blazer as it adds some colour as the blazer is quite plain. This top was £14 and I would try this on before you buy it, as the arm holes are quite big and if it's slightly big on you then you'll end up showing your bra! (I know this from experience...haha)
I got these brogues in the sale (actually in cream not black...) and they were reduced from £52 to £30! They are fully leather which makes it a great price! I wear this whole outfit during the day with some blue skinny jeans & a brown leather belt and it goes really nicely :)
Today's bargains! (28/1/2011)
I don't usually shop in H&M too often... as I never seem to see anything I like! However, I went in today and seemed to love the entire shop!
Blazer
£24.99 H&M
I'm loving blazer's at the moment and this one caught my eye as soon as I stepped in to H&M! Really good price too, half the price of my Topshop one!
I can't find pictures of the other things I bought, but here's a list:
Black leggings £5.99
Black bodycon skirt £3.99
Flower hair slides £1.99
Suede style dolly shoes £14.99
Floral scarf/shawl £6.99
I was really impressed with today's shopping, and if you think that you can sometimes spend £60 on one item, such as a pair of shoes, then this shopping was a bargain!!
Just wanted to share with you my bargains, hopefully you'll like some and go and check them out :)
You can see most of these items online at;
www.topshop.com
www.hm.com
I hope you found this post vaguely interesting! It's nice to find bargains :D
feel free to leave a comment below this post, and do tell me if you've found a blazer that's worth checking out! Really loving them at the minute!
